Frugal Living Where do I start?

Frugal Living where do we start?

At the beginning!

In 1912, Nathaniel Fowler wrote a book called How to Save Money.

That is where we found the best place to begin.

What are your needs or necessities?

They consist of 3 categories according to Mr. Fowler.

We found these are really good basics upon which to build.

Necessities of Life Consist of: (physical body)

Something to eat

A place to live in

Proper clothes

Proper care when sick

Future and Emergency Necessities:

Provision for emergencies and the future (saving money)

Our Minds Necessities: (things that stand for something beyond the physical, and which reach out to the betterment of mankind)

Education

Development

Enlightenment

save money
At the top we have income pouring in to the barrel but it has leaks. They include:

Shows (movies)

Tobacco

Sodas

Recreation

Buying

UnWise

And some others we can't read.

These are all the things that are not necessary to live.

So you start at the beginning. Use the three necessities Mr. Fowler gave us. From there you add what is most important to you. That way you don't have a barrel of leaks. Plan Ahead!

I'll leave you with this Simple Quote:

First, take care of ourselves today; and second, prepare for tomorrow.
