Frugal Meal Planning
Our frugal meal planning is a running list of cheap meals. As we use one we check it off the list. As we buy stuff on sale we add it to the list. Its simple and we love simple. We use leftovers for a frugal lunch. It makes for interesting mid-day fun. Two good places to check are: http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/lunchboxbasics1.htm http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/lunchboxfood2.htm Cheap meals are defined by how many frugal menu items can we get out of a piece of meat. We are not talking sparse servings though. We want to give realistic portions for all. In other words we don't want to starve them but we are not going for the "all you can eat buffet style!" either. Then we add filling items on the side. Homemade bread or rolls, vegetables, fruit etc... You can find out how we work our main dishes out of turkey, ham, roast, chicken, and dried beans here: (Its a free ebook we wrote!) Crock pot Recipes
