Simple Living - What does that look like?

If I could define simple living in two words, those words would be "you choose"! You choose what it means to you. What I think it looks like, and what you think of when you hear "Simple Living" might be two different things.

It reminds me of the day I learned to say "no" as an adult for the first time. Instead of saying "I can't because" and giving a 1,000 word essay on why not, I just said no. When the person on the other end of the phone tried to get me to change my mind. I remember saying, "I said No!" I remember looking up at my children thinking I had said it too loud. They didn't even look up. It just seemed to vibrate, and echo throughout the house. Turns out the vibration, and echo was just in my brain.

So what does that have to do with subject at hand? Well besides learning to say no, which makes for a simpler life, it shows that anything new, and different will sound funny, and maybe look funny but not in the ha ha sense of the word.

If you are thinking about what it looks like, and you are excited?! Then thats what it looks like! If you are thinking it means having nothing, and looks awful, then you are looking at someone elses idea!

What it should look like is that sweet spot in your life when you are happiest. It feels like time stops, or you wish time would stop. You can not stop smiling, and you feel all is right with the world. That is your sweet spot.

Once you find that place the next step is to generate ideas: on how you can get that in your life more, and more till your life is what you want. You can never know where you want to be until you dream of getting there. Make your blueprint to your sweetspot.

So start your Simple Living journey now today! What does that look like for you?
