The Richest Man in Babylon, by George S. Clason

We really liked the Richest Man in Babylon.

It was the first book we read on budgeting, and investing that we actually understood all the way through.

Pros:

Its a small book so not a load of reading.

Told in stories so you not only get the idea of what it means they show you examples! We considered this a good thing!

Wrote on a high school level so no extremely big words. This author considered it for high school on up.

Not dry and boring. We wished there was more to read when we were done.

All things taught were common sense things. Yet even with all our common sense we had not run across all of them.

Cons:

Many complain its too simple for them. We of course think simple is a good thing.

Summary

We think its a great starting place, and a good read if you have lost your way financially.
